Experience
30 years experience of running groups in Adventurous setting, in spectacular natural environments around the world, encouraging achievement and personal growth with fluidity , empathy and attunement.
I have been a Chief Flying Instructor in the sport of paragliding for 20 years, and a Senior instructor prior to that for 8 years. I became a therapist in my middle age, and built that new knowledge on top of a lifetime experience working with all strata of society in one of the most challenging environments and activities. This underpins my confidence and my personal skills in working with a wide range of people with a wide range of issues.
Transactional Analysis Practitioner
I work in the modality of Transactional Analysis, and whilst I am in advanced clinical practise I am also in ongoing Clinical Training , and I am fortunate to be able to integrate fluidly elements of Adlerian and Jungian practices and theories, as well as guided visualization and meditation techniques to help you find the perspective and healing you seek.
Experience Working in the Community
I have been working with local community organisation such as Area 43 and Cardi shed, over several years, with a wide range of ages and therapy goals.
Trauma-Informed Care Training
I have been working over several years with Traumaform, one of the UK's leading Trauma specialists. I am an affiliated counsellor with Traumaform, and have undergone extensive training involving a trauma focused lens.
The Power of Awareness
Transactional Analysis provides a powerful framework for understanding how our past influences our present. By exploring the dynamics of our inner 'Parent,' 'Adult,' and 'Child' states, we can begin to untangle the impact of trauma and anxiety on our self-perception. This awareness is the first step toward reclaiming your narrative and fostering lasting change.
Healing is not just about managing symptoms; it’s about shifting your internal position from one of self-doubt to one of inherent worth. In our work together, I support you in moving toward an 'I’m OK – You’re OK' stance, fostering the inner growth necessary to navigate grief, depression, and relationship challenges with resilience and authentic self-compassion.
